Other housing program needs that may be identified during the plan period. <br />Redwood City will use available resources to: <br />a) acquire land for housing development; b) assist non - profit organizations to acquire <br />affordable housing for low income and special needs populations; c) implement a loan . <br />program for minor, moderate, and substantial rehabilitation to preserve the existing <br />housing stock, fund accessibility improvements for persons with disabilities, provide <br />emergency repairs; and d) financial assistance to assist households to become <br />homeowners. The Home Improvement Program's Revolving Fund will support <br />rehabilitation loans, lead based paint removal and energy conservation efforts. <br />CDBG, HOME and Redevelopment Housing Funds will be used to acquire land, buildings, <br />pay a portion of costs for new construction, and support first time homebuyer loans.
