ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 <br /> TO <br /> EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> (Stan T. Yamamoto, City Attorney) <br /> <br /> This Amendment No. I is entered into and effective as of the 26th day of August, 2002, <br />amending the Agreement dated July 30, 2001 (the "Agreement") by and between the City of <br />Redwood City, a charter city and municipal corporation ("City"), and Stan T. Yamamoto, <br />("Employee") (collectively, the "Parties") for City Attorney services. <br /> <br /> RECITALS <br /> <br /> A. The Parties desire to alter the Agreement to provide for reimbursement of rental <br />costs for temporary housing located outside of Redwood City; and <br /> <br /> B. The Parties have negotiated and agreed to the following amendment. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants <br />contained herein, City and Employee agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Section 6 of the Agreement is amended in its entirety to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "6. The City shall reimburse Employee for the rental costs he <br /> incurs in retaining, temporary housing in San Mateo or Santa Clara <br /> Counties for no more than nine (9) consecutive months and for a monthly <br /> amount not to exceed $2,000. The $2,000 monthly limitation shall apply <br /> to any and all temporary housing which Employee uses for himself and/or <br /> his family during the nine-month period. Prior to selecting temporary <br /> housing pursuant to this provision, Employee shall consult with a <br /> designee of the City Council." <br /> <br /> 2.
