EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br /> Waterworks Industries Inc. shall perform the foLLowin8 services pursuant to the draft <br /> La[loon Manaaement PLan, amended June 1998, and subsequent updates of the <br /> Redwood Shores Lagoon Management PLan, which may be completed durin[l the term <br /> of this Task Order, to comply with newly mandated requirements of the Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board, and at the direction of the Public Works Services <br /> Department representative. <br /> <br /> PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br /> <br />A. CONSULTING <br /> <br /> Waterworks Industries staff sha~L provide professional services necessary to <br /> represent the City of Redwood City to the Re[lional Water Quality Control <br /> Board, Department of Food and. A[lricuLture, and, any other a[lency havin[l <br /> authority over the mana[lement of the la[loon, upon request by the City. <br /> B. WATER O. UALITY MONITORING <br /> <br /> These surveys are critical to the proactive nature of the La[loon Mana[lement <br /> Plan. Each Tuesday, Waterworks staff will contact Redwood City's <br /> desi[lnated responsible staff member to report that Waterworks Industries has <br /> started the La[loon surveys. Waterworks wilt survey the Western Main La[loon, <br /> first; then the Eastern Main La[loon, then Boardwalks La[loon, then the <br /> Rockport, Radio, Canvasback Laaoons and Waterside La[loon. <br /> <br /> Waterworks staffin[l shall include: a boat with a four stroke motor, one Senior <br /> Technician or Pest Control Operator, an additional staff technician may be' <br /> included to assist in Launchin[l and retrievin[l the boat where no ramp exists. <br /> <br /> The surveys will be billed at the rate included in Exhibit B-l, Fee Schedule, of <br /> this Task Order. Waterworks will anticipate the needed chemicals for the <br /> applications to be made and have them with them to make-proactive- <br /> treatments. The time that Waterworks is making chemical applications will <br /> not be billed at the ia[loon survey rate but at the per gallon rate. This will <br /> insure that there is no double bilLin8 for services. <br /> <br /> C. REPORTING TO CITY AND REGULATORY AGENCIES <br /> <br /> At the end of each survey, Waterworks Industries will make a verbal report Lo <br /> City of Redwood City's desi[lnated staff. Waterworks Industries will prepare <br /> Form A of the Redwood Shores Lagoon Management PLan, which summarizes <br /> the Lagoon surveys. Additionally, if chemical applications or harvestin[l are <br /> needed, Form B and/or C will be completed and faxed to Redwood City by the <br /> foLLowin[l Monday detaiUn[l all of the services performed durin[l the prior <br /> week. Further, Waterworks Industries shall submit to the Department of Food <br /> and A[lriculture the required chemical use report detai[in[l the chemicals that <br /> were used during the month, and shall provide a copy of the form to the City <br /> of Redwood City's representative. <br /> <br /> 3of 7 <br />Waterworks Industries, Inc.
