D. MECHANICAL HARVESTING <br /> <br /> Mechanical harvesting of Algae and Widgeon Grass shall be performed, as a <br /> result of Water Quality Monitoring described above. -The-harvesting shall be <br /> performed when the Widgeon Grass is within one foot of the Lagoon surface <br /> or sooner, if it is determined that to wait would jeopardize, the beneficial <br /> uses of the lagoon. Waterworks Industries staffing and equipment includes <br /> one senior technician, one staff technician, eight foot head mechanical <br /> harvester conveyer trailer, 25,000 <br /> GVW vehicle to tow trailer, fuel <br /> <br /> Should the growth, of the Widgeon Grass or algae accelerate beyond the <br /> ability for one harvester to proactively handle the growth, Waterworks <br /> Industries will bring in our second Harvester within 24 hours of identifying <br /> the accelerated growth. As per our staff; Waterworks Industries is prepared <br /> to handle the acceleration of the vegetation growth in an. expeditious <br /> manner. <br /> <br /> E. CHEMICAL APPLICATIONS <br /> 1. ALGAECIDE <br /> <br /> The Redwood Shores Lagoon Management Plan calls for the use of the <br /> algaecide/bacticide EarthTec, which is approved for its low copper <br /> concentrations and bacticide properties. Waterworks Industries staffing <br /> and equipment for chemical applications include the chemical EarthTec, <br /> boat with motor, spray equipment, one licensed chemical applicator and <br /> one staff technician. <br /> <br /> 2. HERBICIDE <br /> <br /> The- Redwood Shores Lagoon Management Plan calls-for the use of the <br /> herbicide REWARD, which is approved for the control of Widgeon Grass <br /> in the areas of the lagoon where the harvester is inefficient or unable <br /> to-harvest the Widseon Grass. <br /> Waterworks Industries staffing and equipment for chemical applications <br /> include the chemical Reward, boat with motor, spray equipment, one <br /> licensed chemical applicator and one staff technician. In the event that <br /> an updated Redwood Shores Lagoon Management Plan permits the use of <br /> Cutrine, Waterworks Industries staffin8 and equipment for chemical <br /> applications of this herbicide shall be the same as referenced above. <br /> <br /> F. EQ. UIPMENT LIST <br /> The following equipment will be dedicated to-the Redwood Shores Lagoon <br /> Management Project.
