Box 391 <br />1017 Middlefield Road <br />Redwood City, CA 94064 <br /> <br />Re: Cost proposal for CM services to complete project <br />Ralston Interchange Project <br /> <br />Dear Peter: <br /> <br />Per our discussions, I am submitting a request for additional money needed to complete the <br />Ralston Interchange project. Our construction management contract, which was signed prior to <br />completion of the construction documents, was base on 350 working days. When the <br />construction documents were completed and bid, the project duration was 400 working days. <br />The additional $280,226.91 is needed to continue providing construction management services <br />for those additional working days, to the end of the project. Attachment "A" detailed the <br />breakdown of the costs. <br /> <br />The Scope of Services to complete project is as follows: <br /> <br />1.1 <br /> <br />1.2 <br /> <br />1.3 <br /> <br />1.4 <br /> <br />On-Site ManaQement & Construction Phase Communication Procedures - HARRIS shall <br />provide and maintain a management team on the Project site to provide contract <br />administration as an agent of the CITY, and HARRIS shall establish and implement <br />coordination and communication procedures among CITY, HARRIS, Design Professional <br />and Contractors. <br /> <br />Construction Administration Procedures - HARRIS shall establish and implement <br />procedures for reviewing and processing request for clarifications and interpretations of <br />the Contract Documents; shop drawings, samples and other submittals; contract schedule <br />adjustments; change order proposals; written proposals for substitutions; payment <br />applications; and the maintenance of logs. As the CITY's representative at the <br />construction site, HARRIS shall be the party to whom all such information shall be <br />submitted. <br /> <br />Reports - Prepare any reports that may be required during the construction phase. <br />Prepare monthly reports to CITY. <br /> <br />Review of Requests for Information. Shop DrawinQs. Samples & Other Submittals HARRIS <br />shall review the Contractors' requests for information, shop drawings, samples and other <br />submittals to determine the anticipated effect on compliance with the Project <br />requirements, the Project and Construction Budget, and the Master Schedule.
