IIP EG: yc :6/ 3 / 60 -7 I Z E S O L U T I O N N 0. 3099 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDTJOOD CITY GIVING NOTICE OF, A ND DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO, IN- ITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY; DESCRIBING SAID TERRITORY LTD DESIGNATING IT BY THE NAY "EDGECLIFF AIrEXATION "; GIVING ITS REASONS FOR DESIRING SAID AN- JEXATION; MAKING CERTAINN FINDINGS RESPECTING SAID PRO- CEEDINGS; AID GIVING "?OTICE OF THE TIrli AITD PLACE SAID COUNCIL WILL HEAR PROTESTS TO SAID ANN EXATION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY: WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the Boundary Commission of the County of San I'Fateo, California, a written description of a proposal to annex to the City of Redwood City all that territory which is hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, said Council has received evidence showing that, and finds that, said written description of its said proposed annexation was filed with the Secretary of said Boundary Com- mission on Nay 12, 1960, and that said Boundary Commission has prepared, or caused to be prepared, a report upon said annexation proposal, all as required by law, and that said Boundary Commis- sion has approved the boundaries of said proposed annexation; and WHEREAS, this Council further has received evidence showing, and finds: (1) That said territory is situate immediately adjacent to and touches and is contiguous to the boundaries of the City of Redwood City; and (2) That less than twelve registered voters presently reside within said territory and that said territory is therefore unin- habited; NOW, THEREFORE: 1, Said Council of the City of Redwood City does hereby declare, and does hereby give notice that, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, proceedings have been initiated by it, on its on notion without requiring a peti- tion, to annex to said City all that territory hereinafter des- ignated and described.
