Said Council does hereby declare that its reasons for desiring said annexation are as follows: To contribute to and facilitate the orderly growth and development of both the City and the territory proposed to be annexed; to encourage, assist, and facilitate proper design, layout, construction and control of streets, sewers, and other public improvements, in both City and said territory; to provide for proper control of land use in both areas in conformity with over -all zoning plans of the City; and to provide other municipal services to said territory for the mutual benefit of the City and said territory. 3. � , 19 6?, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.17., in the Bard of Supervisor's Chambers, Hall of Justice and Records, Redwood City, San ateo County, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any person owning real property within the uninhabited territory hereinafter described and proposed to be annexed to the City of Redwood City, may appear before said Council and show cause why such territory should not be annexed to said City. 14.. The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City is hereby directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published in the Redwood City Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Redwood City, and in the San i'iiateo Times, a newspaper of general circulation published outside the City of Redwood City but within the County of San i ateo, California, in the manner and time and as required by law, and to cause written notice of the proposed annexation to be mailed to all persons or bodies to whorl such notice is required to be mailed by law, in the manner and within the time required by law. 5. The territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Redwood City and hereinafter described is hereby designated "Edgecliff An- nexation." 6. The above said territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Redwood City is hereby described as all that territory situate in the County of San i -ateo, State of California, bounded and more fully described as f ollot:-s :
