R E S O L U T I O N N O. 3060 <br /> RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION <br /> (REGENT STREET EXTENSION) <br /> RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood City, that <br /> it does hereby preliminarily determine that the public convenience <br /> and necessity require, and that it intends to order, the following <br /> work to be done and improvements to be made in and for said City, <br /> to wit: <br /> (1) The 3nprvvamesst of Regent Street and J'soft Street fay a het. <br /> 50 teat westerly of Redwood Avenue to a enl de sae 260 feet westerly of 14 <br /> 'cad, and a connection to Oxford Street, by the construction and installation <br /> therein of two -inch (2't) plant -mixed surfacing thirty -one (31) feet in width <br /> on a six -inch (6 ") crusher -run rock base, standard concrete curb, gutter, <br /> marginal sidewalk and standard driveway approaches on each side thereof. <br /> (2) The construction and installation therein of the paving at all <br /> intersections as necessary to conform with existing paving, and the raising <br /> and lowering of all catchbasin, manhole, monument, valve and cleanout frames <br /> and covers etc. to conform to the grades established herein, and the con- <br /> struction of all necessary appurtenances thereto. <br /> (3) The construction and installation of a storm sewer system, as follows: <br /> (a) The construction and installation of an eighteen -inch (18 ") <br /> reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer on Johnson Street, from Redwood <br /> Avenue near Regent Street to the Redwood Creek, with sacked concrete <br /> riprap to protect the outlet end;, the construction and installation of <br /> a fifteen -inch (15 ") reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer across <br /> Regent Street at Redwood Avenue;, the construction and installation of <br /> a fifteen -inch (15") reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer in Regent <br /> Street, from a point 160 feet easterly of the centerline of Palm Avenue <br /> to an existing twenty -four -inch (24 ") reinforced concrete sewer line in <br /> Palm Avenue; the construction and installation of a twelve -inch (12") <br /> reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer in and across Regent Street at a <br /> point 160 feet easterly of the centerline of Palm Avenue; the con- <br /> struction of a twelve -inch (12 ") reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer <br /> in and across Regent Street at _a point 733 feet easterly of the <br /> centerline of Paim Avenue; the construction and installation of a <br /> twelve -inch (12 ") reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer in and across <br /> Regent Street at Oxford Street. <br /> (b) The construction and installation of reinforced concrete <br /> catchbasins, manholes, storm sewer laterals, siphons, connections to <br /> existing storm sewers,and all other necessary appurtenances to complete <br /> the storm sewer system described in paragraph 3a above. <br /> (4) The construction and installation of concrete monuments, including <br /> standard frames and covers at intersections of the centerlines of streets, <br /> center of cul de sac, and beginning of improvements at a point approximately <br /> 450 feet easterly of the centerline of Redwood Avenue. <br /> (5) The removal of all trees, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, structures, <br /> e e s and all other obstructions in <br /> f ences driveways, cleanouts, h ad r an <br /> walls , , s y, � <br /> the line of work. <br /> -1- <br />
