,:ek:2/25/60-7 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2993 <br /> RESOLUTION OF INTENTION CONCERNING IMPOSITION <br /> AND ALLOCATION OF PROPOSED LOCAL SALES AND USE <br /> TAX REVENUES <br /> WHEREAS, a Committee of Citizens representing a cross section <br /> of the community life of the City of Redwood City has recommended <br /> to this Council a program of capital improvements and betterments <br /> for accomplishment during the next six -year period; and, <br /> WHEREAS, such Citizens Committee has further recommended <br /> that the capital expenditures necessary to carry out this program <br /> be financed by general obligation bonds to be retired in so far as <br /> possible from revenues to be derived from local non - uniform sales <br /> and use taxes to be approved by the electorate of the City of <br /> Redwood City; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City desires and <br /> intends to submit the abovementioned six -year plan of capital <br /> improvements in the form of a series of general obligation bond <br /> issues, consisting of Measures (A) to (H) inclusive, for con- <br /> sideration by the electorate at the next general municipal election <br /> in April, 1960; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City desires <br /> and intends to submit an additional capital improvement project <br /> for the construction of a municipal auditorium in the form of <br /> a general obligation bond issue, consisting of Measure (I), for <br /> consideration by the electorate at the next general municipal <br /> election in April, 1960; and, <br /> WHEREAS, this Council further desires and intends to sub- <br /> mit to the electorate at the next general municipal election the <br /> question of whether or not local sales and use taxation should <br /> be imposed in the City of Redwood City; and, <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to represent and state its <br /> intention with respect to the use and allocation of any revenues <br />
