And finally, makes <br /> � recommendations,f'or conflict and tree preservation before during <br /> and after construction. <br /> 2. 0 FIELD OBSERVATIONS AND DISCUSSIUN <br /> The site is an old house at above mentioned address. The proposed <br /> construction project will demolish existing structure and build a new single <br /> family home, <br /> As the proposed site plan indicates, there are 3 trees of various species in <br /> front of which Pine tree is in direct confllct with proposed construction and <br /> need to be removed and other 2 need to be preserved. <br /> TREE # l: CALIFORNIA CO�LST LIVE OAK "Quercus agrifolia" <br /> Stands in�`'ront north corner close to property line, S— feet to sidewalk and' <br /> 18 — feet to new foundation. The trunk diameter measures 13-znches at 18 — <br /> inches above ground level "right below the main crotch ". It stands about 30 <br /> — feet tall, and its averag� crown spretxd is about 30 --= feet. Subject tree is <br /> heulthy with normcrl iwig grawth for this year. On a scale of 1 to S, (1=best, <br /> 5=worst) the tree rates out at a health of 1, structure of 2, and for an overall <br /> condition rating of excellent/ good, The tree will have wonderful esthetic <br /> contribution to the future landscape and will provide shade and sound <br /> barrier. <br /> TREE # 2: COAST REDWOOD "Sequoia sempervirens" <br /> Sfands 18 — feet to proposed construction �oot prznt, and � feet from <br /> sidewalk. The trunk diameter measures 25- inches at 18-inches from ground <br /> level "right below main tight crotch ". It stands approximately 46 — feet tall, <br /> with average canopy spread of about 30 — feet. Subject tree has a tight <br /> crotch at 18-inches from ground level and need to be supported by <br /> irrstallation of one or two cable between the trvo main leaders. On a scale of <br /> 1 to S, the tree rates out ut a health of l, and structure of 2, and for an <br /> overall condition rating of excellent/good. <br />
