RD 82-01 RD-82-01 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLAN FOR REDEVELOPMENT OF SELECTED PROJECT AREA; DIRECTING TRANSMITTAL OF CERTAIN INFORMATION RELATING THERETO TO THE SAN MATEO COUNTY AUDITOR AND TAX ASSESSOR AND STATE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION; AND DIRECTING PLANNING DIRECTOR TO PREPARE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN BASED THEREON WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8979, adopted by the City Council October 12, 1981, and in accordance with the Community Redevelopment Act (Health and Safety Code, §33000 et seq.), the Planning Commision has designated a survey area within the City of Redwood City for the purpose of studying the feasibility of redevelopment within said area; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said resolution and said Community Redevelopment Act, the Planning Commission has also selected a project area within the designated survey area, and has formulated a Preliminary Plan for the redevelopment of the selected project area; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has submitted the Preliminary Plan to this agency for approval; and WHEREAS, this agency has reviewed and desires to accept and approve said Preliminary Plan and to direct that a redevelopment plan be prepared for the selected project area; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, ACTING AS THE REDEVELOPP~NT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Preliminary Plan for the redevelopment of the selected project area comprising the combined areas described as "Gateway" Project Area, "Centre" Project Area, "Marina" Project Area and "Seaport" Project Area, as such areas are more particularly described on that description labeled "Exhibit A," attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby accepted and approved.
