require the work and improvements herein described, and the Council of the City of Redwood City hereby orders the following work to be done and improvements to be made in said City of Redwood City, to -wit: (a.) Grading and construction of pavement, curbs and gutters, sidewalks, and driveway approaches on Johnson Street between Roosevelt and Oak Avenues; (b.) Construction of storm drainage struc- tures at intersections of Johnson Street with Roosevelt Avenue and Oak Avenue. FURTHER RESOLVED that the work and improvements here - inabove described shall be done under the direction of the City Engineer of said City of Redwood City, and that materials used therein shall comply with the specifications heretofore adopted; and that the assessments to be made in said proceeding shall be made and signed by said City Engineer. The Clerk of the City of Redwood City is hereby ordered and directed to post a notice conspicuously for five (5) days on or near the Council Chamber door of the Council of said City of Redwood City inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work and making the improvements ordered herein. Said City Clerk is also ordered and directed to publish a notice inviting such sealed proposals or bids and referring to the plans, pro- files, detailed drawings and specifications on file for the period required by law in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except Sunday) newspaper of general circulation published, printed and circulated in the City of Redwood City, and hereby designated for that purpose by the Council of said City. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that said sealed proposals or bids be publicly opened, examined and declared by the Council of said City of Redwood City at the hour of 8 :00 o'clock F.M. of 3.
