• • <br /> 567 paper, computer paper, magazines, junk mail, catalogs, brown paper bags, paperboard, paper <br /> 568 egg cartons, telephone books, books, colored paper, construction paper, envelopes, legal pad <br /> 569 backings, shoe boxes, cereal and other similar food boxes); chipboard; corrugated cardboard; <br /> 570 paper milk cartons; glass containers of any color (including brown, blue, clear, and green); <br /> 571 aluminum (including food and beverage containers, foil, small pieces of scrap metal); small <br /> 572 pieces of scrap metal weighing less than ten (10) pounds and fitting into the Targeted <br /> 573 Recyclable Materials Collection Container (excluding chain, cable, wire, banding, hand tools, <br /> 574 and automotive parts); steel, tin or bi -metal containers; plastic containers (i.e., all plastic <br /> 575 containers stamped with the Society for the Plastics Industry (SPI) code #1 through #7; and <br /> 576 plastic containers that are not stamped but clearly can be identified as PET, HDPE, <br /> 577 polypropylene). For Single- Family and Multi - Family Premises, Targeted Recyclable Materials <br /> 578 also include Used Motor Oil, Used Motor Oil Filters, Household Batteries, and Cell Phones. <br /> 579 Term <br /> 580 "Term" means the Term of this Agreement. <br /> 581 Ton (or Tonnage) <br /> 582 "Ton (or Tonnage)" means a unit of measure for weight equivalent to 2,000 pounds where each <br /> 583 pound contains 16 ounces. <br /> 584 Transfer Station <br /> 585 "Transfer Station" means a Facility primarily used for the purpose of transferring Solid Waste <br /> 586 from Collection vehicles to transfer vehicles (but which may include recovery operations) to <br /> 587 more efficiently transport Solid Waste to the Disposal Site. For the purposes of this Agreement, <br /> 588 Agency has designated the Shoreway Recycling and Disposal Center, located at 225 and 333 <br /> 589 Shoreway Road, San Carlos, CA, as its designated Transfer Station. <br /> 590 Spills of Discarded Materials <br /> 591 "Spills of Discarded Materials" means any Solid Waste, Targeted Recyclable Materials, or <br /> 592 Organic Materials spilled or left at established Collection sites by Contractor after Collection, <br /> 593 other than small particles of grass clippings and leaves of the size and volume that may be <br /> 594 collected by regular street sweeping operations which may be left behind. <br /> 595 Universal Waste (or U- Waste) <br /> 596 "Universal Waste," or "U- Waste," means all wastes defined by Title 22, Subsections 66273.1 <br /> 597 through 66273.9 of the California Code of Regulations. These include, but are not limited to, <br /> 598 batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, mercury switches, and Electronic Waste. U -Waste does not <br /> 599 include those items defined herein as Targeted Recyclable Materials. <br /> 600 Unpermitted Materials <br /> 601 "Unpermitted Materials" mean wastes or other materials that the Designated Transfer and <br /> 602 Processing Facility is not permitted to receive, including Hazardous Waste and Hazardous <br /> 603 Substances. <br /> 604 Unscheduled Service <br /> 605 "Unscheduled Service," means services that are unscheduled or provided on an intermittent <br /> 606 basis. For the purposes of Section 11.03D, Unscheduled Service does not include services <br /> 607 described in Section 5.02 (other than Single - Family Backyard Collection Service provided to <br /> Franchise Agreement for Collection Services with Recology San Mateo County Attachment A <br /> City of Redwood City Definitions <br /> Page 16 of 17 <br />
