• • <br /> 1892 Contractor when Targeted Recyclable Materials Collection services are initially <br /> 1893 provided at a Multi - Family Residential Complex, and once every three (3) years <br /> 1894 thereafter. <br /> 1895 2. Service Level Adjustments. Within five (5) Business Days of completing the <br /> 1896 site assessment or receiving a request from a Customer, Contractor shall <br /> 1897 adjust the Customer's service level by providing any Solid Waste or Recyclable <br /> 1898 Materials Containers needed for change in service, removing unneeded <br /> 1899 Containers, and revising the billing system to reflect the monthly Rate for the <br /> 1900 new service level. At the time new Containers are delivered or existing <br /> 1901 Containers are removed, the Contractor shall confirm that all Containers are <br /> 1902 properly labeled and shall provide public education signage for the Container <br /> 1903 areas and extra signs for public and common areas such as mail and laundry <br /> 1904 rooms, etc. <br /> 1905 3. Preparation and Distribution of Public Education Materials. Contractor shall <br /> 1906 provide Owner or property manager with education materials developed by <br /> 1907 Agency or SBWMA which describe the requirements of the Recyclable <br /> 1908 Materials Collection program, including flyers, door hangers and Recycling <br /> 1909 Tote -Bags for distribution to tenants, signage for common areas such as mail <br /> 1910 rooms and laundry rooms, and move -in kits for new tenants. <br /> 1911 B. Notification to Multi - Family Dwelling Customers. Upon request from a new or <br /> 1912 current Customer for new or changes in service, Contractor shall notify the <br /> 1913 Customer by mail of the Targeted Recyclable Materials and Organic Materials <br /> 1914 Collection services offered by Contractor. Such notification shall be provided in <br /> 1915 English and Spanish. <br /> 1916 C. Signs and Placards. Contractor shall be responsible for preparing, distributing, <br /> 1917 and posting signs and placards at Multi - Family Dwelling Premises that promote <br /> 1918 Targeted Recyclable Materials and Organic Materials Collection services, describe <br /> 1919 the program requirements, and identify allowable and prohibited types of materials <br /> 1920 for Collection. At a minimum, these signs shall be durable, weather resistant and <br /> 1921 posted in the Container areas. Upon request of the Customer, Contractor shall <br /> 1922 provide signage and Container labeling in a second language such as, but not <br /> 1923 limited to, Spanish. Within ten (10) Business Days of a Customer's request, <br /> 1924 Contractor shall provide extra signage for use in areas such as laundry and mail <br /> 1925 rooms at Multi - Family Residential Complexes. The design of all signs and placards <br /> 1926 shall be approved by SBWMA prior to distribution by Contractor. <br /> 1927 7.06 WASTE GENERATION /CHARACTERIZATION STUDIES <br /> 1928 Contractor acknowledges that Agency may perform Solid Waste generation and <br /> 1929 characterization studies periodically to determine the composition and contamination <br /> 1930 levels of Collected materials. Contractor agrees to participate and cooperate with <br /> 1931 SBWMA and Agency and its agents and to accomplish studies and data collection and <br /> 1932 prepare reports, as needed, to determine weights and volumes of Solid Waste, Targeted <br /> 1933 Recyclable Materials, Plant Materials and Organic Materials and characterize materials <br /> 1934 generated, Disposed, transformed, diverted or otherwise handled /processed to satisfy <br /> 1935 requirements of the Act. Contractor shall also facilitate visual audits of Multi - Family <br /> 1936 Dwelling, Commercial and Agency Cart and Bin service accounts. The visual audits will <br /> 1937 entail tipping the contents of Customers Container on the tipping floor at the Designated <br /> Franchise Agreement for Collection Services with Recology San Mateo County <br /> City of Redwood City <br /> ATTY /AG R/2010.014 <br /> 040510 Page 49 of 115 <br />
