The Fire Chief or his authorized representatives shall enforce the provisions � <br /> of the Fire Code adopted by Section 12.7 and as amended by this Article and <br /> all orders, licenses, certificates, permits and plans and specifications issued <br /> or approved thereunder and shall have the authority to issue citations for <br /> violations thereof." <br /> SECTION 3. All former ordinances or parts thereof conflicting or inconsistent <br /> with the provisions of this ordinance or of the Code hereby adopted are hereby <br /> repealed. <br /> SECTION 4. If any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this ordinance or of <br /> the Code hereby adopted should for any reason, be found invalid, it is intended <br /> that all other portions of this ordinance independent of any such portion as may <br /> be declared invalid shall be valid. <br /> SECTION 5 . This Council finds and determines that pursuant to Section <br /> 50022.1 of the Government Code, the City is authorized to adopt the California <br /> Fire Code 2010 by reference and amend same by ordinance. Section 1894'f .5 <br /> of the Health and Safety Code provides in part that the ordinance adopted by <br /> local entities must, at minimum, take effect 180 days after the publication of the <br /> California Building Standards Code by the California Building Standards <br /> Commission ("Commission"). The date by which the ordinance must take effect <br /> is January 1, 2011. In the event that the Ordinance does not take effect by <br /> January 1, 2011, the California Fire Code, as adopted by the Commission, will <br /> be in full force and effect in the City of Redwood City. <br /> ****� <br /> Atty/Ord/Ord.339 11 <br /> 112410 <br />
