7.B <br /> Page 14 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT, BECAUSE <br /> OF LOCAL CLIMATIC, GEOLOGICAL, AND TOPOGRAPHICAL <br /> CONDITIONS, THE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY, WELFARE, AND <br /> NECESSITY, REQUIRE CHANGES OR MODIFICATION TO <br /> CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 12 OF THE REDWOOD <br /> CITY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE ADOPTION BY <br /> REFERENCE OF THE CALIFORNIA FIRE CODE, 2090 EDITION; <br /> AS MODIFIED AND MADE APPLICABLE TO THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 5Q022.1, et seq., of the <br /> Government Code, and Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, <br /> this Council proposes to adopt by reference the California Fire Code, 2010 <br /> Edition, (hereinafter referred to as the "Fire Code"); and <br /> WHEREAS, in connection therewith, certain changes or modifications are <br /> proposed to be made to the substantive provisions of the Codes, which changes <br /> or modifications are reasonably necessary due to local climatic, geological and <br /> topographic conditions (the "Local Amendments"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Local Amendments, which are p�oposed to be made <br /> clarify the Fire Code and in certain instances, impose more stringent protection <br /> requirements than are required by the Fire Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Local Amendments have been recognized by the City to <br /> address the fire problems, concerns, and future direction by which the City can <br /> establish and maintain an environment which will afford a level of fire and life <br /> safety to all who live and work within its boundaries; and <br /> ATTY/RESO/RES0.2066 � <br /> 111510 <br />
