These funds are to support the Linking Immigrants to Benefits, Resources, and <br /> Education (LIBRE) Project as per your proposal. <br /> Please do not list the Grove Foundation as a supporter in any publicly available documents <br /> such as press releases and/or direct mail. Redwood City 2020 may list the Foundation's <br /> name alongside other donor names in its annual report; however, it may not be featured in <br /> such report. If you have any questions regarding this request, please contact the <br /> Foundation at (650) 523-1334. <br /> This grant is subject to the following terms: <br /> a. Grantee (City of Redwood City) is an organization that is exempt from tax under <br /> § 501(c)(3)of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) and is one of the following: an <br /> organization described in IRC § 509(a)(1) or (2} that is not a private foundation, which <br /> status has been duly confirmed by one or more operative IRS rulings or determination <br /> letters. Grantee represents that it is not a"supporting organization" described in <br /> IRC § 509(a)(3); or a state or any political subdivision thereof within the meaning of <br /> IRC§ 170(c)(1), including a city, school district or public school; or a state university or <br /> college described in IRC § 511(a)(2)(B). <br /> b. Grantee will utilize the grant's proceeds only for charitable and educational activities <br /> consistent with its tax-exempt status described above. Without limiting the generality of <br /> the preceding sentence, Grantee will not intervene in any election or support or oppose <br /> any political parry or candidate for pub;ic office, or engage iri any iobqying not permitted <br /> by IRC §501 (c)(3) or, if applicable, IRC§§501(h) and 4911. <br /> c. Grantee will inform Foundation immediately of any change in, or IRS propos$d or actual <br /> revocation (whether or not appealed) of, its tax status described above. <br /> d. This grant is earmarked for the project identified above, as described in Grantee's <br /> funding proposal and related correspondence. It is not earmarked for transmittal to any <br /> other entity or person, even if Grantee's proposal or other correspondence expresses <br /> expenditure intsntions. Rather, Grantee accepts and will discharge full control of the <br /> grant and its disposition and responsibility for complying with this agreement's terms <br /> and conditions. <br />
