� <br /> 6.2C <br /> Page 4 <br /> WHEREAS, the City is a member of the Bay Area Water Supply and <br /> Conservation Agency (BAWSCA), which was formed in 2002 pursuant to Wa#er Code <br /> Section 81300 et seq. to represent the interests of the communities in Alameda, San <br /> Mateo and Santa Clara counties that purchase water from San Francisco; and <br /> WHEREAS, BAWSCA has fully participated in examining and calculating the <br /> Suburban Revenue Requirement for Fiscal Year 20Q7-2008; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Suburban Purchasers are prepared to execute the Settlement <br /> Agreement regarding the Suburban Revenue Requirement for Fiscal Year 20d7-2008 in <br /> accordance with BAWSCA's concurrence and recommendation, resulting in a net credit <br /> to the opening balance for Fiscal Year 2009-2010 for the Suburban Purchasers in the <br /> amount of $2,417,002.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to specifically authorize the City Manager to <br /> act on behalf of the City with respect to its responsibilities as a Suburban <br /> Representative. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The "Agreement Memorializing Settlement Concerning Changes to the <br /> Suburban Revenue Requirement for FY 2007-2008" (Agreement) is hereby approved. <br /> 2. The City Manager or designee is authorized and directed to act on behalf <br /> of the City as Suburban Representative and execute this Agreement, and all future <br /> Agreements Memorializing Settlement Concerning Changes to the Suburban Revenue <br /> Requirement, generated pursuant to the 1984 Master Water Sales Contract and the <br /> 2009 Water Supply Agreement. <br /> * * * <br /> AttylReso/Reso.2088 <br /> 011811 2 <br />
