dRT STREET camava®
i n t e r a c t i v e
Features of the Administrative Areas of the System include:
• Scalable architecture allowing for the automated addition of new sites, programs and POS items to
the system. (NOTE: Updates to the layout of day use /campsites do require Flash updates to be
viewable on the Flash Map however).
• Search and reservation interfaces in the Call Center allowing staff to add or edit reservations and
registrations.
• All site and program information can be administered via the main intranet or by park staff who
have been assigned administrative rights for the specific area. This includes each site's
specifications, what products are available for sale on -site, program information and the ability to
access and make notation regarding customer's activities.
• Manage instructor profiles, accreditations, photos and status.
• Instructor access including the ability to print class rosters, schedule classes, update
class /instructor information. These permissions can be managed at an instructor level basis.
• Walk -ups (those without a reservation) can be handled onsite within the system by park staff,
including making the reservation and processing payments.
The Camava League Management is a fully integrated component of the Camava system. It manages
facilities, coaches and customers from the same platform. Features include:
• Easily build seasons, tournaments, leagues and teams.
• Automated league scheduling and facility reservations.
• Set up tournaments- single and double elimination rounds.
• Coaches easily manage their teams online.
• Allow officials and coaches to enter and track stats for players, teams and leagues.
II. TECHNOLOGY AND TECHNIQUE
Database Technology - Art Street Interactive (" ASI ") will develop this set of applications using Microsoft
SQL Server 2008 as our primary database.
Application Programming - Server -side processing will be written in Active Server Pages (ASP).
Therefore the site will be designed and optimized to run in a Microsoft IIS 6.0+ server environment.
Javascript will be used on many client side operations for efficient use of Internet traffic. Depending on
client requirements, we may use VB Components to achieve sophisticated business logic. We may
purchase or develop in -house objects for specific application functionality. Additionally, a Flash (MX 2004)
map Interface will be created for each of the campgrounds. The Flash files will be designed to interact with
data in the SQL server in order to display user site selections in the course of their reservation.
Methodology - After client and user requirements are determined, we develop a Relational Data Model
(the "RDM ") and a Session Design strategy. The RDM is used throughout the development and testing
cycles to help ensure that the original data design requirements are met. The session strategy will help
ensure that the movement throughout the site is creative yet designed objectively. User profiles are
normally researched to achieve user - centric navigation and meaningful content delivery. The system will
be designed to automatically detect the presence of the Flash 7.0 plug -in (standard in version 6.0+
browsers), and to effect a non -Flash version of the map interface being presented to users in the absence
of a proper plug -in.
Testing - Databases will be tested for quality and transaction speed. Before any public site release, testing
is completed to ensure compatibility with Internet Explorer, Mozilla Based Browsers, and Apple® Safari.
The internal Camava intranet system is supported to run on Internet Explorer versions 6.0 and later.
3
