6.4A <br /> Attachment 1 Page 5 <br /> WASTE MATTER: Shall mean and be held to include crockery, bottles, tin cans, <br /> metal vc: eels, ashes, shells, plaster, brickbats and all other noncombustible <br /> materials. <br /> SECTION 2. Sections 14.13 and 14A5 of the Municipal Code of the City of <br /> Redwood City are amended, by adding the text shown in bold italics (example) <br /> and deleting the text shown in strikeout (example), as follows: <br /> Sec. 14.13. DUTY TO KEEP SANITARY; REMOVAL OF COVERS; <br /> TYPE OF COVERS: <br /> Cans Of Containers for garbage, recyclables and organic materials of <br /> waste matter shall be kept in a sanitary condition by the owners thereof <br /> and the covers shall not be removed or left open except for the purpose <br /> of placing refuse therein or removing refuse therefrom, and shall at all <br /> times be proof against access of flies to the contents thereof. <br /> Sec. 14.15. PLACEMENT OF CONTAINERS OF GARBAGE, <br /> RECEPTACLE, CONTAINER FOR RECYCLABLES, CORRUGATED <br /> CARDBOARD AND YARD TRIMMINGS AND ORGANIC MATERIALS <br /> FOR COLLECTION: <br /> A. Every person in possession, charge, or control of any premises <br /> shall provide a sufficient number of containers of sufficient <br /> capacity to hold all garbage, recyclables, and organic materials <br /> which are created, produced, or accumulated on such premises <br /> between the times of successive collections by the collector. <br /> B. Containers shall be placed curbside or street side in a manner <br /> that does not block any driveway, sidewalk or street, or impede <br /> pedestrian or vehicular traffic or sight lines. By written <br /> permission of the Public Works Services Director, a location for <br /> such container or containers upon public property may be <br /> arranged. <br /> A. Garbage Receptacle: <br /> 1. No garbage receptacle shall be placed or kept on or in any public <br /> street, alley, sidewalk, footpath or any public place whatsoever, but shall <br /> and emptying by tho rofuco collector. <br /> 2. Garbage receptacles may be placed on the premises so as to be <br /> readily accocciblo for removing and omptying by tho rofuco collector only <br /> between twelve o'clock (12:00) noon on the day preceding tho scheduled <br /> collection and twelve o'clock (12:00) noon on the day immediately <br /> following tho collection of refuse. <br /> Atty /Ord /Ord.344 3 <br /> 020111 <br />
