5/12/03 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2246 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2232 THEREBY <br /> REDUCING AMOUNTS FROM SPECIFIED APPROPRIATIONS FOR <br /> FISCAL YEAR 2002-2003 <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Charter of the City of Redwood City, on or <br />about August 26, 2002, the Council of Redwood City duly adopted the Annual Budget <br />of the City of Redwood City for the Fiscal Year July 1,2002 - June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 15 and 51.5 of the RedwoOd City Charter, from <br />time to time during the fiscal year, the Council may transfer sums from any appropriated <br />item to any other appropriated item; may provide for the appropriation or expenditure of <br />public money in any amount over two thousand dollars; and may cancel in whole or in <br />part any appropriation by ordinance if approved by the affirmative vote of five-sevenths <br />of all members of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due to the result of the general fund's deteriorating financial <br />condition, City staff has recommended that the Council of Redwood City approve a <br />reduction in FY 02/03 budget in the amount of $1.32 million; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Council of Redwood City to reduce FY 02/03 <br />budget in the amount specified on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and by this reference <br />incorporated herein. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY~ DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />F:Atty/Ord/Ord. 179 2246 <br />042203 <br /> <br /> <br />
