Transportation
Based on the RFP, it is our understanding that the project applicant is having a transportation impact
analysis (TIA) prepared by Fehr & Peers and that City staff have requested a peer review of this
report. Hexagon Transportation Consultants will review the TIA to ensure the technical adequacy of
the report. Hexagon will verify the adequacy of the traffic counts and trip generation estimates,
review trip distribution patterns of site - generated traffic, review the assignment of site- generated
traffic on the local roadway network, review the level of service calculations, and review the
conclusions and recommendations of the report. A memo report documenting the results of the peer
review will be prepared for the City's files. Only the original TIA will be included in the EIR.
Noise
Based on the RFP, it is our understanding that the project applicant had an acoustical analysis
prepared by Charles MSalter Associates and that City staff have requested a peer review of this
report. Rlingworth & Rodkin will review the noise assessment, which provides existing noise level
information and addresses interior noise and land use compatibility issues. A memo report
documenting the results of the peer review will be prepared for the City's files.
The existing acoustical analysis does not address exterior noise and land use compatibility or off-site
impacts associated with construction and operation of the project. Rlingworth & Rodkin will assess
the impacts of exterior noise on the project as well as construction and operational noise from the
project based on the existing noise data in the Ch arles M P 1 g Associates report. Mitigation
P g
measures will be developed as required to reduce identified impacts.
Both the original acoustical analysis and the supplemental noise analysis will be included the EIR.
Hazardous Materials and Geology
Based on the RFP, it is our understanding that the project applicant had a preliminary geotechnical
analysis prepared by Rockridge Geotechnical and a Phase I and Phase II environmental site
assessment prepared by Source Group. If the screening criteria are met by
the project, then a detailed air quality assessment of air pollutant emissions is not required.
