410 . CGM: yc: 4 /2/71 <br /> RULES AND REGULATIONS <br /> for <br /> VETERANS MEMORIAL BUILDING <br /> 1. All organizations desiring to use the facilities of <br /> the Veterans Memorial Building shall make application therefor <br /> on the forms prescribed. <br /> 2. All organizations desiring to use said facilities will <br /> abide by all rules and regulations hereinafter established for <br /> said use. Any violations of these rules or failure to comply <br /> with instructionsof the employees of the City of Redwood City <br /> will subject said organization to cancellation of any future use <br /> thereof and may result in the immediate termination of use upon <br /> the occurrence of such violation. <br /> 3. All charges for the use of facilities shall be recom- <br /> mended by the Park and Recreation Commission to the City Council <br /> for adoption. Such charges may be changed by the City Council <br /> from time to time as recommended by the Park and Recreation <br /> Commission. <br /> 4. The hours of operation of the facilities of said building <br /> shall be from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. <br /> on Saturdays and Sundays. The facilities shall be closed on <br /> Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Thanksgiving. The rental <br /> charge established will apply to each period of time. Use of <br /> facilities beyond the above established periods will be subject <br /> to custodial overtime. The Director of Recreation may extend <br /> the hours of operation under special circumstances. <br /> 5. Charges for custodial overtime will be at the rate <br /> established by the current salary schedule for the City. <br /> 6. The Commission may grant the privilege of use of storage <br /> facilities to organizations, and revoke that privilege at any <br /> time upon due notice. No organization using the facilities shall <br /> in any way alter such storage facilities except upon authoriza- <br /> tion and under supervision of said Commission. <br /> 7. The kitchen located in the building shall not be used <br /> as a meeting place or dining area but shall be used solely for <br /> the preparation of food to be served. The kitchen and its <br /> facilities shall be rented only in conjunction with the rental <br /> of other rooms in said building. <br /> 8. Dances which are open to the public, whether or not a <br /> fee is charged for admittance, shall not be permitted. <br /> 9. Plans for any decorations must be approved by the <br /> Director of Recreation prior to their installation. No cello- <br /> phane adhesives, nails, screws, staples, etc., shall be permitted <br /> to be placed or inserted into the walls, woodwork or fixtures. <br /> All decorations must be fireproof or of fire retardant materials, <br /> and subject to the approval of the Fire Marshal. <br /> 10. Alcoholic beverages may be permitted in said building <br /> only by obtaining the prior written permission of the Director <br />
