410 . CGM: yc: 4 /2/71 RULES AND REGULATIONS for VETERANS MEMORIAL BUILDING 1. All organizations desiring to use the facilities of the Veterans Memorial Building shall make application therefor on the forms prescribed. 2. All organizations desiring to use said facilities will abide by all rules and regulations hereinafter established for said use. Any violations of these rules or failure to comply with instructionsof the employees of the City of Redwood City will subject said organization to cancellation of any future use thereof and may result in the immediate termination of use upon the occurrence of such violation. 3. All charges for the use of facilities shall be recom- mended by the Park and Recreation Commission to the City Council for adoption. Such charges may be changed by the City Council from time to time as recommended by the Park and Recreation Commission. 4. The hours of operation of the facilities of said building shall be from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The facilities shall be closed on Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Thanksgiving. The rental charge established will apply to each period of time. Use of facilities beyond the above established periods will be subject to custodial overtime. The Director of Recreation may extend the hours of operation under special circumstances. 5. Charges for custodial overtime will be at the rate established by the current salary schedule for the City. 6. The Commission may grant the privilege of use of storage facilities to organizations, and revoke that privilege at any time upon due notice. No organization using the facilities shall in any way alter such storage facilities except upon authoriza- tion and under supervision of said Commission. 7. The kitchen located in the building shall not be used as a meeting place or dining area but shall be used solely for the preparation of food to be served. The kitchen and its facilities shall be rented only in conjunction with the rental of other rooms in said building. 8. Dances which are open to the public, whether or not a fee is charged for admittance, shall not be permitted. 9. Plans for any decorations must be approved by the Director of Recreation prior to their installation. No cello- phane adhesives, nails, screws, staples, etc., shall be permitted to be placed or inserted into the walls, woodwork or fixtures. All decorations must be fireproof or of fire retardant materials, and subject to the approval of the Fire Marshal. 10. Alcoholic beverages may be permitted in said building only by obtaining the prior written permission of the Director
