• DES:lt :3 /18/71 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> MAH 22 '71 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. fz70 <br /> RESOLUTION ABANDONING PORTIONS OF BROADWAY AND <br /> DOUGLAS AVENUE IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY IN <br /> ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, STREETS <br /> AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 (commencing <br /> at §8300) of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of <br /> the State of California, the Council of the City of Redwood <br /> City by its Resolution No. 6464, adopted March 1, 1971, declared <br /> its intention to vacate the hereinafter described portions of <br /> Broadway and Douglas Avenue; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said provisions of the Streets and <br /> Highways Code, notice of intention to vacate and abandon the <br /> described portions of the above mentioned streets has been <br /> published and posted; and <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held and evidence taken; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City finds that <br /> the hereinafter described portions of Broadway and Douglas <br /> Avenue are unnecessary for present or prospective public purposes <br /> and hereby orders said portions of Broadway and Douglas Avenue <br /> vacated subject to reservation of easements and rights of way <br /> for certain public utility purposes hereinafter described. <br /> 2. The portions of Broadway and Douglas Avenue vacated, <br /> together with the easements and rights of way excepted and reserved <br /> therefrom, are described as follows: <br /> All that certain real property situate in the City of <br /> Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, <br /> more particularly described as follows: <br />
