1.23 DUST CONTROL <br /> A. Not applicable. <br /> 1.24 TEMPORARY SURFACING <br /> A. Not applicable. <br /> 1.25 CONSTRUCTION LAYOUT AND COMPACTION TESTING <br /> A. Not applicable. <br /> 1.26 CONTRACOTR'S INSURANCE / WORKER'S COMPENSATION <br /> A. Contractor shall obtain and maintain in full force and effect, during the life of this Contract, Workers' <br /> Compensation Insurance and Employers' Liability Insurance covering all employees employed in <br /> performance of work under this Contract. The Contractor shall make this same requirement of any of his <br /> subcontractors. <br /> B. Contractor shall indemnify and save the City and the Engineer harmless for any damage resulting to them <br /> from failure of either Contractor or any sub - contractor to take out or maintain each insurance. <br /> C. See Section 00520, Agreement, paragraph 8. <br /> 1.27 LIABILITY <br /> A. The contractor and all subcontractors shall take out and maintain during the life of this Contract, a Broad <br /> Form Commercial General Liability or Commercial General Liability, and Business Automobile Liability <br /> Insurance policy, naming as insured or as additional insured, the City of Redwood City, its Council and <br /> elective and appointed boards, officers, agents, and employees. This policy shall include, but is not <br /> limited to, all of the following coverage specified in Section 00520, Agreement, paragraph 8. <br /> 1.28 INSURANCE ON WORK AND MATERIALS <br /> A. The Contractor shall secure and maintain such direct damage insurance against such perils as the <br /> Contractor may deem necessary to protect the Work called for in this Contract including Work completed, <br /> material in place, or to be used in the performance of this Contract and such other miscellaneous items <br /> as may be necessary to the performance of this Contract. <br /> 1.29 CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE <br /> A. The Contractor shall furnish certificates of insurance to the City for all required insurance coverages. The <br /> certificate for Commercial General Liability insurance shall explicitly indicate that "x ", "c ", and "u coverage <br /> and contractual liability coverage are provided, even if both coverages are included in the Commercial <br /> General Liability policy form. A separate, executed additional insured endorsement shall be included with <br /> the certificates of insurance for Commercial General Liability coverage. <br /> B. Certificates shall also provide that not less than thirty (30) days advance written notice shall be given to <br /> the City in the event of cancellation. <br /> C. The Contractor shall provide its insurance broker /agent(s) with a copy of these requirements and require <br /> that they provide all required certificates of insurance and endorsements to the City as required. <br /> D. Upon request by the City, the Contract shall also furnish a certified copy of any or all policies of insurance <br /> covering the Work called for in this Contract. <br /> 1.30 BONDS <br /> A.
