RD-87-07 RD 87-07 JUN 8 1987 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH SOUTH BAYSIDE SYSTEM AUTHORITY FOR <br /> SLUDGE REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Agency proposes to redevelop lands within its <br /> Marina Project Area in the City of Redwood City pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Health and Safety Code Sections 33300 et seq.; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said lands include properties formerly used by the <br /> <br /> City of Redwood City as a wastewater treatment plant; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to redevelop said lands it is necessary to <br /> remove and to provide proper disposal for wastewater sludge <br /> remaining thereat; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, South Bayside System Authority ("Authority") <br /> operates and maintains a wastewater treatment plant and related <br /> facilities and is experienced and skilled in administering <br /> projects for the proper removal and disposal of such sludge; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to letter dated April 22, 1987 from the <br /> California Regional Water Quality Control Board, San Francisco <br /> Bay Region, Authority has been advised of the necessity to remove <br /> said sludge; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Agency an <br /> agreement pursuant to which Authority shall develop, administer, <br /> and implement a project for the removal and disposal of said <br /> sludge; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> 7-07 <br /> <br /> <br />
