EXHIBIT <br /> SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF THE SITE <br /> 1. HOURS OF WORK <br /> A. Working hours shall be from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday and <br /> excluding all City Holidays. <br /> II. PLANS <br /> A. Those plans entitled Woodside Road Off -Ramp Median Landscaping at El <br /> Camino Real <br /> B. The City's Standard Specifications and Details. <br /> C. State of California Department of Transportation, "Standard Specifications" and <br /> "Standard Plans ", latest edition, are hereby made a part of this contract. <br /> III. ACCESS TO PROJECT <br /> A. A mandatory pre -bid meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 22, 2010 at 10 <br /> AM. All bidders must attend the pre -bid meeting to participate in this bid. Bidder <br /> shall meet onsite. Contact Saber Sarwary at (650) 780 -7370 if you have any <br /> questions related to the mandatory pre -bid meeting. <br /> IV. TIME OF COMPLETION, INSURANCE & BONDS <br /> A. Time of completion shall be Thirty (30) calendar days from the Notice to <br /> Proceed. <br /> B. The contractor shall submit a certificate of insurance showing comprehensive <br /> workers' compensation and general liability insurance coverage in the amount of <br /> $1,000,000. Such certificate shall also name the City of Redwood City, its <br /> Council, Boards, Commissions, Officers, Agents and employees as additional <br /> insured on the policy as shown in paragraph 7 of the "Agreement ". <br /> C. The contractor must post bonds; one to guarantee performance of the proposed <br /> construction in accordance with the plans and specifications, and the other to <br /> guarantee payment of labor and materials. Both bonds shall be in an amount of <br /> 100% of the contract price and shall be notarized and a Power of Attorney shall <br /> be included for the person signing on behalf of the surety (see Standard Bond <br /> Attachments). Other bond forms may be used, subject to approval prior to the <br /> start of work. <br /> V. DAMAGE <br /> A. Damage to existing structures, facilities, utilities, trees, pavements, or other <br /> property caused by the Contractor shall be restored to original condition at the <br /> Contractor's expense, prior to final inspection and acceptance. <br /> VI. DAMAGES FOR DELAYS <br />
