A. Liquidated damages, for the period of time that any portion of the work remains unfinished after the time fixed for completion in the Contract Documents, as modified by extensions of time granted by the Owner, it is understood as agreed by the Contractor and the Owner that the contractor shall pay the Owner Five Hundred and No /100 Dollars ($500.00) per day liquidated damages. The work shall include the provision of all materials, equipment and apparatus not specifically mentioned in the specifications, but which are obviously necessary to complete the work thereunder. VIII. PROGRESS CLEANING A. Contractor shall perform periodic cleaning to ensure that any streets and other City and public properties are maintained free from accumulation of waste materials, dust, mud, debris. B. Contractor shall keep paved roads clean and free of construction dust, mud, and debris. Daily cleanup throughout the job will be necessary, with extra attention to cleanup being made prior to weekends and holidays. Contractor shall be responsible for removing construction debris resulting from the work. C. If contractor does not properly clean the site, in the opinion of the City, the City shall have the option of using outside equipment to perform the cleanup and such cost will be withheld from the contract sum. IX. MEASUREMENT & PAYMENT MOBILIZATION, NOTIFICATIONS, AND TRAFFIC CONTROL A.
