Hernandez,
I am trying to get an early start on the permits again this year. I have gone over last
years paperwork and will try to be concise. We would like to contract with the
Redwood City Police Department for the following:
• services of two police officers on the morning of the ride, for traffic control We'd like
both Officers from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM to assist as the riders depart and while they
are returning. We would like the officers to arrive at Sequoia High School (where
the ride starts and finishes), at 7:30AM to check in with Dave Rhody at the Start
Line, and he can give them last minute information.
• posting of 'No Parking" *signs on both sides of Brewster from Duane to Alameda De
Las Pulgas -- and on Alameda de las Pulgas (both sides of road) to the city limits.
*signs indicate No Parking - Sunday, August 3, 2003 from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Resolution from the City Council approving the proposed course route, etc.
Attached, please find the letter of intent containing the items listed in order to
receive the resolution.
I will be submitting a request for the Certificates of Insurance that we need and I will
forward yours to you as soon as I receive them (probably around the first of July). For
Redwood City I will use the wording indicated in the permit procedures given to me
last year. Please let me know if I need to provide anything further. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Nancy L. Nobriga
Operations Director
1417 Irving Street • San Francisco, CA 94122 • (415) 759 -2690 • Fax: (415) 759 -2699
