She spoke on the difficulty in getting other cities interested, and <br /> suggested, that given Mr. Jones' presence, that perhaps there is interest, and he can <br /> take this message back to Atherton. She agreed with other Council Members in <br /> wanting this resolved for City businesses, families and residents. <br /> Mayor lra said they will keep the same subcommittee with Council Members Bain, Gee <br /> and Pierce serving on it and the subcommittee can determine how to move fonrvard in <br /> dealing with regional issues and the need of significant support and resources from <br /> other cities, communities and local, state and federal agencies. He noted that it would <br /> be a concern for the State Water Resources Control Board if more water were to be <br /> pumped into the bay. He asked that the subcommittee work on obtaining the necessary <br /> funding for the pump station, the need for a la�ge amount of land for a solution, and he <br /> agreed that sotutions must be developed on a regional basis <br /> Mr. Bell said he would work with the subcommittee in identifying the short-term options, <br /> regional partners to join the effort, funding and claims, and will plan to come back to <br /> Council with actionable items. <br /> The City Council took a break from approximately 8:38 p.m. to 8:50 p.m. <br /> 8.
