6.1 A <br /> Page 6 <br /> that was adopted in 2009 and these can work hand-in-hand and provide significant <br /> water cc�nservation. <br /> Chief Skinner thanked Mr. LaTorra for his guidance on the c;c�de updates and he <br /> introduced Fire Marshall Palisi, whose position is shared beiween the City of Redwood <br /> City and the City of Belmont. Fire Marshall Palisi spoke on the three-year cade <br /> adoption cycle and how Califomia codes are getting much larger, but it allows them to <br /> extract some local amendments that are now based in the model code. He covered the <br /> changes to be incorporated including adminis#�ative adjustments to an existing section <br /> under the California code to allow the Fire Chief more flexibility in the application of#he <br /> code and he noted fhat this is a big step forward in the fire service. <br /> There was no Council Comment. <br /> M/S Foust/Seybert to approve these items. Motion carried 7-0 by electronic vote. <br /> B. Adoption of the 2010 California Fire Code and Local Amendments. <br /> Minute Order 10-237 <br /> Recommendation: <br /> 1.
