7.1 -A3 <br />AGREEMENT <br />FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES <br />[MARK THOMAS & COMPANY, INC.] <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of July, 2003, by and <br />between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal corporation of the <br />State of California ( "City "), and MARK THOMAS & COMPANY, INC. ( "Consultant ") <br />(collectively, the "Parties "). <br />WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, City proposes to undertake the reconfiguration of the Ralston <br />Avenue /Marine Parkway /Route 101 Interchange in the City of Redwood City (the <br />"Project'); and <br />WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, the City requires supplemental <br />professional engineering design consulting and construction services support; and <br />WHEREAS, Consultant represents that it possesses the experience, and is <br />qualified to perform the aforesaid services for the Project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br />1. CONSULTANT'S SERVICES. Consultant shall perform the Ralston <br />Avenue /Marine Parkway /Route 101 Interchange Reconfiguration Project and related <br />services further described in Exhibit "A" hereof, attached hereto and by this reference <br />incorporated herein. <br />2.
