For further information, people may contact Larry Buckmaster, <br />President of the Chamber at 364 -1722. <br />Maria Diaz - Vivian thanked Council Member Howard for her endless commitment to <br />Redwood City and the Pride and Beautification Committee. She stated that the <br />Stambaugh - Heller neighborhood was one of the targeted areas and it made quite a <br />difference. Nika presented Council Member Howard with a flowering plant for her <br />efforts. <br />Jim Beeger stated that our parade is a hometown parade and without the Veterans <br />we would not be celebrating the 4th of July. <br />Council Member Ruskin explained that he had a conversation with George Johnson <br />on the telephone and subsequent to that, had put in a call to Bill Anderson, member <br />of the Executive Committee of the PCA which controls the parade. Council Member <br />expressed his hope that something could be worked out and that there is a meeting <br />on the morning of June 3 that he hopes will produce common ground. <br />7. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Items on the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the City Council and <br />are enacted by one motion and one vote. <br />M/S Howard /Hartnett to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances <br />by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items.
