2/ 5/73 R R E S O L U T I O N No. 6865 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES FOR PREPARATION AND USE OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORTS WHEREAS, the Environmental Quality Act of 1970 (Div. 13, Public Resources Code, commencing with §21000), as amended by Chap. 1154, 1972 Statutes (A.B. 889), requires the preparation and use of environmental impact reports.in connection with certain projects; and WHEREAS, this City has heretofore implemented administratively the requirements established by law relating to the preparation and use of such reports; and WHEREAS, this Council desires formally to implement said requirements and to provide for continued implementation thereof in accordance with the provisions of Section 21171 of the Public Resources Code, notwithstanding that with certain exceptions, the provisions of the aforesaid Chapter 1154, 1972 Statutes, do not hPcome ooarati.ve with respect to activit.i.Qs invel.vina the issuance to a person of a lease, permit, license, certificate, or other entitlement for use by public agencies until April 5, 1973; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. PURPOSE. The purpose of this resolution is to establish procedures and guidelines for the preparation and use of environ- mental impact reports in accordance with the Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended, and rules and regulations duly promulgated pursuant thereto. It is further the purpose of this resolution to provide for continued implementation of the provisions of the Environmental Quality Act of 1970 heretofore implemented admin-
