RES 0 LUT ION N0. .45 <br />RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION <br />SHEPARD WAY AND VICINITY IMPROVEMENTS <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City and it <br />does hereby preliminarily determine that the public convenience <br />and necessity require and that it intends to order, in accord- <br />ance with the provisions of the Municipal Improvement Act of <br />1913, as amended, all of the work to be done and improvements to <br />be made and acquisitions to be had in and for said City, as more <br />particularly set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a <br />part hereof. <br />IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED as follows: <br />1. All of said acquisitions, work, and improvements are to <br />be constructed at the places and in the manner and to the lines, <br />grades, and elevations as shown upon the plans, profiles, and <br />specifications made therefor and on file in the office of the <br />City Engineer of the City of Redwood City. <br />2. Said contemplated acquisitions, work, and improvements, <br />in the opinion of said City Council, are of more than local or <br />ordinary public benefit, and said Council does hereby make the <br />costs and expenses of doing such work and improvements chargeable <br />upon the district, which district said City Council declares to <br />be the district benefited by said acquisitions, work, and improve- <br />ments, and to be assessed to pay the cost and expenses thereof, <br />and which assessment district is wholly within the limits of said <br />City of Redwood City, State of California, and the exterior bound- <br />aries of which are more particularly described in Exhibit "B" <br />attached hereto and made a part thereof. <br />3. There is excepted from said district all streets and other <br />public property in the use and performance of a public function ex- <br />
