CHAPTER 1 <br />Sections <br />206 The term " charges " rges includes fees, tolls, rates and <br />rentals for any commodity, facility or service provided by <br />any district or improvement district or by any improvement, <br />system or works thereof. <br />207 The term " city " means the City of Redwood City. <br />208 The term "clerk" means the city clerk of the city. <br />209 The term "construction ", " construct" 6r "constructing" <br />each means to install, fabricate, form or put together and <br />includes reconstruct, alter, improve and repair. <br />210 The term "council" means the council of the city. <br />211 The term "district" means any general improvement dis- <br />trict formed pursuant to this ordinance. <br />212 The term "improvement district" means an improvement <br />district formed in a district pursuant to section 809. <br />213 The term "incidental expense" is defined in Chapter 3. <br />214 The term "land" means real property in the district <br />exclusive of improvements or personal property. <br />215 The term "multi- ownership" means ownership in Joint tenancy, <br />tenancy in common partnership, or by husband and wife as community <br />property. Where an ownership is in joint tenancy, tenancy in <br />common or in partnership, the person seeking to act shall present <br />the written proxy of a majority of the owners. When property <br />is owned by a husband and wife (whether as community, joint <br />tenancy, tenancy in common or in partnership), the husband shall <br />have the right to act for both and his wife may act in his place, <br />with his proxy. <br />4 <br />
