"Section 43.3 Public Hearing. The Commission shall <br /> hold a public hearing on every variance application within <br /> 40 days after the filing of the application. The time and <br /> place of public hearing shall be set by the Planning Director, <br /> and notice of such public hearing shall be given as provided <br /> in Article 49. <br /> "Section 45.7 Committee Action. (a) With respect <br /> to structures for which architectural review is required <br /> pursuant to Section 45.1, the Committee shall either approve <br /> the application or recommend and suggest changes or varia- <br /> tions in the structures as may be necessary or desirable <br /> to carry out the purposes of this ordinance. A report of <br /> the recommendations and suggestions shall be transmitted to <br /> the applicant and Building Inspector within 30 days after <br /> the filing of the application. <br /> "(b) With respect to structures for which architectural <br /> permits are required pursuant to Section 45.2, the Committee <br /> shall either approve or deny the application as may be <br /> necessary to carry out the purposes of this ordinances or <br /> may approve the application subject to the applicant making <br /> such changes in the location of parking or access facilities, <br /> architectural features or styling, landscaping areas, or <br /> fencing as the Committee finds necessary to carry out the <br /> purposes of this ordinance. <br /> "Within 60 days after the filing of any application <br /> for an architectural permit, the permit and the approved <br /> plat and drawings, or a report stating the reasons for denial, <br /> shall be transmitted to the applicant with a copy to the <br /> Building Inspector. <br /> "It shall be unlawful for any person to construct, <br /> -8- <br />
