project, Contract No. 07- PCJPB -C -01777 San Mateo County Grade Crossing Improvements (the <br /> "Project ") includes: <br /> • Safety improvements at grade crossings including, <br /> — Clearing and grubbing and removal of existing curb and gutter and/or fence /guardrail <br /> where required <br /> — Additional guardrail to discourage trespassing on JPB Right -of -Way <br /> — Installation of tactile warning squares <br /> — Widening of sidewalks and construction of new concrete curbs. <br /> — Removal of one (1) and construction of two (2) new medians on Main Street, and <br /> construction of two (2) new medians at Brewster Avenue and Maple Street, and one <br /> (1) new median at Whipple Avenue. <br /> — Placement of new concrete panels (and AC ramps where required) at each <br /> intersection listed. <br /> — Striping and curve markings <br /> — Placement of new PVC conduit for signal lines <br /> — Adjustment of existing pedestrian gates where required and installation of new <br /> pedestrian swing gates. <br /> E. For purposes of the Agreement, the term "Improvements" shall describe the construction <br /> activities for the Project, and shall include all necessary changes to telephone, telegraph, signal, <br /> electrical lines and appurtenances, relocation of all utilities and pipelines of any kind, all <br /> temporary and permanent track work (if necessary), grading, drainage, access roadways to <br /> railroad right -of -way, preliminary and construction engineering, and any and /or all other work of <br /> every kind and character necessary to build the Project. <br /> F.The parties now desire to set forth herein their understandings and agreements relating to <br /> construction of the Project and maintenance of the Improvements. <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> 2 <br />
