Median Island Landscaping was also added after the award of contract.
The narrow medians (less than 5 feet wide) were originally designed with
dver cobble to reduce risk of accidents to maintenance personnel. This was
changed to landscaping to comply with requests from neighborhood
associations.

The walkway at the SW corner of Marine Parkway and Bridge Parkway was
extended along Bridge Parkway to the foot of the bridge.

2. Change Order #2 in the amount of $6,503 was issued to reconcile all the
miscellaneous quantities and all outstanding extra work.

The total of the two Change Orders amount to $223,308.56 or 10% of the original
contract amount.

RGW is one of the bigger roadway contractors in the Bay Area, and has been winning
bids on the Peninsula. The Auxiliary Lanes from Ralston Avenue' to Hillsdale
Boulevard; the Millbrae Interchange, and the John Daly Boulevard Project, are all being
constructed by RGW. Their roadway construction expertise is impeccable, and it shows
in the final product.

Next Steps
If City Council accepts this project, staff will move forward to close out the project. The
material and performance bonds will be released, and the-retention monies will be paid
to the Contractor. This action will aisc commence the standard one-year warranty
period.

Fiscal Impacts
Funds for this project are allocated in the following four funding sources:

1. STID = $2,078,673
2. TAD = $69,414 for the pedestrian/bicycle path, the
3.
