Fiscal Impact <br />The current contract compensates All City Management Services at the rate of $11.13 per <br />hour for each hour of crossing guard service. The total amount of contracted hours for <br />fiscal year 2001-02 was 13,846 costing the city $154,106. The current contract expires on <br />June 30, 2002. <br /> <br />All City Management Services has offered to enter into a two-year contract for fiscal years <br />2002-03 and 2003-04, for 13,846 hours per year, at the rate of $11.79 per hour of service, <br />which represents a six percent increase. The total cost for services will be $163,244 per <br />year for two years of service. <br /> <br />At $11.79 per hour, the cost per hour of service through the vendor is significantly less than <br />the hourly rate of compensation for full-time community service officers or police officers. <br /> <br />The police department has submitted a budget request for $163,244 for crossing guard <br />services for fiscal years 2002-03 and 2003-04. <br /> <br />N~lllUy'eda t CarlosG.
