Construction activities <br /> would temporarily increase particulate concentrations <br /> in the Amendment Area. Construction vehicles and <br /> equipment would produce exhaust which could cause <br /> spot violations of the C.O. standards. <br /> <br /> 2. Findings. Intersection - specific and area-wide <br /> traffic flow improvements should be specified for <br /> future real estate development projects. Air Quality <br /> impacts could be reduced to insignificant levels by <br /> implementation of the following measures: <br /> <br /> a. Sprinkle unpaved areas with water at least <br /> <br /> two times per day. <br /> <br /> b. Cover stock piles with soil and other <br /> <br /> such materials. <br /> <br /> c. Sweep surrounding street at least once per <br /> <br /> day. <br /> <br /> d. Avoid unnecessary idling of construction <br /> vehicles and equipment and maintain <br /> periodically. <br /> <br /> e. Cover truck bed hauling soil and other such <br /> <br /> materials. <br /> <br /> f. Paving and planting should be done as soon as <br /> <br /> possible. <br /> <br /> 3. Rationale and Facts Supporting Findings. <br /> Improvements would probably have beneficial effects <br /> on local C.O. levels but considering Redwood City's <br /> <br /> already high C.O. background it is doubtful that <br /> 17 <br /> <br /> <br />
