Public Comment: <br />John Murphy, Redwood City resident and homeowner in GID 1 -64, stated he has <br />spoken to Council every year over the last 30 years. He thanked the Financial <br />Services Department for furnishing the book for reference at the Redwood Shores <br />library and for Council Members' consideration. He asked that the books be <br />relocated to the library after Council has read the document. He stated that <br />although, he may not agree with each particular assessment, all are treated the <br />same and that is the action the Board is asked to take. He further stated that there <br />is a potential of 10,000 voters in the GID 1 -64 district. <br />M/S Ira /Pierce to accept the equalized assessment roll for the General <br />Improvement District 1 -64 for the 2003 -04 fiscal year. Bond Service Tax Rates — 2003 -2004 General Improvement <br />District 1 -64 <br />Financial Services Accountant Greenhorn stated that, based on the accepted <br />equalized assessment roll, the rate is 6.61 % lower for the reclamation bonds and <br />5.9% lower for the facility bonds due to an increase in the values of the property of <br />the district. This tax rate will raise the amounts that are included in the 2002/04 <br />budget in the amount of $2,020,000.00. <br />M/S Ira /Ruskin to introduce the attached ordinance setting the tax rates for <br />General Improvement District No. 1 -64 be introduced. <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION <br />UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. <br />1 -64 TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 -64, AND <br />FIXING AND LEVYING THE TAX RATE THEREFORE <br />The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br />BOE MINUTE ORDER 03 -002 <br />B.
