342 <br /> REPORT ON USE PERMITS ISSUED: <br /> APPLICATION OF H. - B. - MARTICHS TO ALLOW USE OF A TEMPORARY BUILDING FOR NINETY DAYS AS <br /> A REAL ESTATE OFFICE AT 650 EL CAMINO REAL. This temporary building will be removed <br /> when permanent building is completed. <br /> APPLICATION FOSTER AND KLEISER TO RELOCATE TWO EXISTING BILLBOARDS AT TENTH AVENUE AND <br /> BAYSHORE. Councilman Britschgi was of the opinion that the ordinance requires that <br /> once a billboard is moved, the site is cancelled. City Attorney will check into this. <br /> CITY ENGINEER REPORT ON OAK STREET IMPROVEMENTS, GORDON TO HAWES. Letter from City <br /> Engineer stating that the people have been contacted and so far most of them feel that <br /> the cost will be too high to justify at this time. He recommended that all the bids <br /> be rejected and that the project be abandoned until other projects in the vicinity are <br /> developed. Councilman Britschgi offered RESOLUTION 1880 REJECTING BIDS and moved <br /> adoption, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried on roll call,.Councilmen Jones, <br /> Spillers and Stout noted absent. The petition will be retained. <br /> Councilman Royer moved adjournment at 10:00 P.M., seconded by Councilman Britschgi and <br /> carried. /1/ <br /> R. S.GDODGE <br /> City Clerk <br /> MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br /> REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br /> June 6, 1955, 8:00 P. M. <br /> ON ROLL CALL the following were present: Councilmen Carl A. Britschgi, Floyd D. Granger, <br /> Paul Jones, William H. Royer, Robert V. Spillers, Hiram S. Stout and Mayor Sidney D. <br /> Herkner. Also present were City Clerk R. S. Dodge, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, <br /> Police Chief S. D. Wood, City Attorney C. B. Currie, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, City <br /> Manager E. A. Rolison, Fire Chief Joseph Lodi, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, City <br /> Assessor- Auditor J. J. Brophy, Administrative Assistant Orrin Wendling and Police <br /> Captain William Faulstich. <br /> Minutes of Regular Meeting of May 16th and Adjourned Meetings of May 23rd and May 31st were <br /> approved as mailed on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman Britschgi _ <br /> and carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING - TRUSTY & KREISS APPEAL TO CONDITION ATTACHED TO USE PERMIT, SHASTA AND <br /> SPRUCE. Affidavit of mailing was ordered filed. City Attorney advised the Council <br /> that the use permit was granted by the Planning Commission subject to a condition <br /> that the owners of the property deed 10 of the property for the widening of Spruce <br /> Street with the understanding that they would be allowed to use the property until <br /> such time as the street was widened. He advised that the appeal was from.the grant- <br /> ing of the use permit with the condition attached. They are asking that the Council <br /> approve the permit without the requirement that the land be deeded. <br /> Councilman Spillers moved that the Use Permit be granted without the condition <br /> attached, seconded by Councilman Granger requesting that there be added to the motion <br /> that the permit would be subject to no new construction within ghe 10/ proposed <br /> widening strip. This was in agreement with the owners of the property. <br /> Building Inspector Kreiss informed the Council that the building on the property is <br /> non - conforming, a wood frame building in Fire Zone #2 and should be made to comply. <br />
