9L:9 <br /> Mr. Bond, representing one owner, stated that the building had been recently rewired <br /> as required by the code. They have no other plans for the remodeling of the building. <br /> Councilman Granger requested an addition to the original motion to the effect that the <br /> permit will expire in two years at which time the Council would again look into the <br /> situation. This was agreed upon by the maker of the motion which carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING - ADOPT ORDINANCE 600.57 REZONE LOT 2, BLOCK 17, REDWOOD HIGHLANDS, FROM R -1 <br /> to R -3 (ELWOOD AND HOPKINS). Affidavit of publication was ordered filed. Mr. Don <br /> McMillan, attorney for Mrs. Herman, presented to the council Delcaration of Restrictions <br /> containing signatures of Mr. & Mrs. DePauli. and Mrs. Herman for approval by the City <br /> Attorney. City Attorney reviewed the document and advised that the signatures were <br /> not acknowledged. Mr. McMillan assured the Council that this was an oversight and would <br /> be completed by noon the next day. Councilman Royer moved that public hearing be <br /> closed, seconded by -Councilman Spillers and carried. Councilman Spillers P illers moved adoption <br /> of Ordinance, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried on roll call, Councilman Granger <br /> voting NO stating as his reason the fact that the Declaration had not been acknow- <br /> ledged. The Council was advised that the ordinance could be rescinded if the acknow- <br /> ledgement of the document is not completed. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING - ADOPT ORDINANCE #800 ESTABLISHING PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON BREWSTER AVENUE <br /> AND ARGUELLO STREET. Affidavit of publication was ordered filed. There being no <br /> protests, written or oral, Councilman Spillers moved that public hearing be closed, <br /> seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. Councilman Stout moved adoption of the <br /> Ordinance, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call, Councilman Brit - <br /> schgi voting N0. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING - ADOPT ORDINANCE #801 AMENDING ORDINANCE 778 RELATING TO BUILDING CODE. <br /> Affidavit of publication was ordered filed. City Attorney requested that the public <br /> be informed that the cost of advertising this ordinance was $213.00. Councilman Jones <br /> moved that public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br /> Councilman Jones moved adoption of the Ordinance, seconded by Councilman Spillers and <br /> carried on roll call. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING - ADOPT ORDINANCE 600.58 REZONING PORTION OF LOTS "C" AND "E ", SUBDIVISION <br /> NO. 2, WOOSTER, WHITTON AND MONTGOMERY FROM R -L}. TO C -1 -H -F (REAR SUPERIOR MARKET). <br /> Affidavit of publication was ordered filed. Councilman Spillers moved that the public <br /> hearing be closed since there were no protests, written or oral, seconded by Councilman <br /> Royer and carried. Councilman Spillers moved adoption of the Ordinance, seconded by <br /> Councilman Britschgi and carried on roll call. City Attorney advised that this area <br /> should be placed in Fire Zone #1. Councilman Jones introduced Ordinance amending Fire <br /> Zone Ordinance and placing the above area in Fire Zone #1, seconded by Councilman <br /> ' * Spillers. Councilman Britschgi suggested fire zone be included with rezoning ordinances <br /> II but was advised this was not possible. Motion carried. <br /> COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> STREET LIGHTING COMMITTEE - Letter from Committee recommending increase the lighting from <br /> 2500 lumens to 6000 lumens in the Stafford & Whipple Avenue area; lighting in the en- <br /> tire Stafford Street area should be increased to 6000 lumen; the corner of Whipple Avenue <br /> and Stafford Street should have a new installation on a pole on the southeast side of <br /> Whipple Avenue near the P.
