Councilman Spillers moved approval <br /> subject to conditions as noted below, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried: <br /> 1. Payment by the subdivider of all engineering and inspection charges <br /> due the City, before release of the performance bond. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> LETTER RE PROPOSED OFFICIAL PLAN LINES BLOCK 8, FRIENDLY ACRES NO. 1. Communication from <br /> property owners in the area requesting that their thoughts be considered before <br /> taking final action was read by the Clerk. The items under consideration were <br /> as follows: <br /> (1) Mr. and Mrs. Salandra, when subdividing their property some time ago deeded <br /> 27' x 140' from the rear of their property to be used as a street. They <br /> request that any of this strip that is not utilized for street purposes be <br /> deeded back. <br /> (2) Applicants request that the original lines be followed when arriving at the <br /> official plan lines. <br /> (3) Mr. and Mrs. Black request that they be allowed to retain a 6' high rear <br /> fence to provide some privacy in their back yard when the new street is <br /> established. <br /> Plan A would create streets on three sides of their property and they ask that they <br /> not be penalized on the third side suggesting the possibility of a stop sign, one <br /> way street or other method of eliminating the traffic hazard. <br /> The City Engineer presented sketches indicating that all of the lots in the area <br /> with the exception of three would contain more than 6,000 square feet. After dis- <br /> cussion, it was decided that the official plan lines could be adopted and that the <br /> Black matter be considered separately. Councilman Spillers offered RESOLUTION <br /> NO. 1899 establishing official plan lines and moved on approval, seconded by Council- <br /> man Jones and carried on roll call. Mayor pro tem William Royer stated that some- <br /> thing would be worked out with the Blacks which should be satisfactory to all <br /> parties concerned. <br /> SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY SUPERINTENDENT JORDAN RE FREIGHT SHED. Letter indicates the <br /> Railroad Company will arrange to check conditions and correct anything found to <br /> be hazardous. Councilman Granger was of the opinion that the Council should be <br /> fair with the Railroad Company and allow them to indicate what their intentions <br /> are. Councilman Spillers then moved that the Southern Pacific be give 30 days to <br /> make their inspection and report back to the Council, the City to lend any assistance <br />
