A portion (53' long) is only 1.5 feet wide. The City needs a deed from Mrs. McIntyre <br /> for a parcel 18.5' x 53' before all the conditions are met. The motion was dropped <br /> and Councilman Spillers moved that the recommendation be held up for two weeks. seconded <br /> by Councilman Stout and carried. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OF PETITION OF MARY & JESSE DAVIS TO REZONE LOTS <br /> 3 & 4, FINGER PARK (20 FINGER AVENUE) FROM R -1 TO R -3 DISTRICT. Councilman Stout moved <br /> that the matter be set for a public hearing in two weeks (October 17th), seconded by <br /> Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED ADOPTION OF THE AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE 600 TO ESTABLISH <br /> FENCE AND HEDGE HEIGHTS. The following is the proposed fence amendment as offered by <br /> the Planning Commission: <br /> PROPOSED FENCE AMENDMENT <br /> 15.1 D Height of Fences and Hedges <br /> No fence shall hereafter be erected, moved or altered and no hedge <br /> shall be grown so that: <br /> 1. On interior lot lines no portion of said fence or hedge shall <br /> extend 6 feet in height behind the front setback line. <br /> 2. On the street side of any corner lot, where there is no <br /> reversed frontage (key lot), no portion of any fence or hedge <br /> shall exceed 6 feet in height and shall not be erected closer <br /> than 30 feet from the front line of said lot, but said fence <br /> may be erected to a height of 6 feet on the property line on <br /> the street side of a corner lot to the rear of the front 30 <br /> feet of said lot except as provided in paragraph 3 and 4 <br /> hereof. <br /> 3. On the street side of any corner lot, where there is reversed <br /> frontage (key lot) no portion of any fence or hedge shall <br /> exceed 3 feet in height unless said fence or hedge is set <br /> back at least 10 feet from the side line of said lot, in <br /> which case said fence or hedge shall not exceed 3 feet in <br /> height any closer than 30 feet from the front line of said <br /> lot. <br /> 4. On the portion of the lot between the front setback line and <br /> the street line, no portion of any fence or hedge shall <br /> exceed 3 feet in height, and no fence or hedge shall exceed <br /> 3 feet in height along any side lot line within 20 feet of <br /> any garage driveway. <br /> In lieu of a 3 foot fence adjacent to a garage driveway, a fence not <br /> exceeding 6 feet may be erected provided said fence shall be erected <br /> on an angle from a point 20 feet from any garage driveway to the <br /> nearest wall of any garage. <br /> Councilman Spillers moved approval of the Planning Commission's recommendation and <br /> introduction of ordinance, seconded by Councilman Britschgi. City Attorney Currie <br /> stated that the Planning Commission added the last paragraph after he had checked the <br /> ordinance, and in his opinion it was not worded correctly in view of the other proposed <br /> changes. The motion was corrected subject to the approval of the City Attorney and <br /> carried. City Attorney Currie stated that the ordinance, when adopted, would not be <br /> retroactive. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED DENIAL OF PLANNING COMMISSION'S OWN ACTION 10 INITIATE <br /> REZONING OF THE AREA BOUNDED BY DUANE, WHIPPLE, EL CAMINO REAL AND BREWSTER AVENUE <br /> FROM R. TO P -1 DISTRICT. Councilman Stout moved that the ublic hearing be set for <br /> p � <br /> three weeks (October 24th), seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF F. MORESCO FOR RESUBDIVISION OF <br /> LOT 10, LEE TRACT, INTO TWO LOTS (162 Orchard) SUBJECT TO - <br /> 1. Owner pay for sewer lateral. <br /> 2. Front setback to be 25 feet. <br /> Councilman Spillers moved approval of the Planning Commission's recommendation, <br />
