Council- <br /> man Spillers stated that the City has to look into the.future for expansion. <br /> Councilman Granger asked that Councilman Royer restate his motion. Councilman <br /> Royer restated his motion and after a lengthy discussion, Councilman Granger moved <br /> an amendment to the motion, seconded by Councilman Jones. Councilman Granger was <br /> asked to restate his motion several times, the following being the final motion. <br /> Councilman Granger moved that the Real Estate Committee recommendation and the <br /> recommendation of the Council at their study meeting be approved wherein they <br /> recommended that the City purchase the Bourquin property providing the proper <br /> authorities determine the source and the availability of funds, seconded by <br /> Councilman Jones. On the question, City Manager Holison stated that the funds <br /> were available in the Water Fund for loaning purposes, but he was interested in the <br /> manner in which the funds would be returned. The motion carried on roll call with <br /> Councilman Britschgi and Stout voting "NO ". <br /> City Manager Holison stated that 43,000.00 had been appropriated to paint the Recreation <br /> Center Building. He had discovered, however, that the building can be stuccoed <br /> for $3,000.00, the painting -of the trim would be in addition to the 43,000.00. <br /> He was of the opinion that the stucco would make a better job and asked permission <br /> to advertise for bids. Councilman Royer moved that the building be stuccoed and <br /> that the City Manager be authorized to advertise for bids, seconded by Councilman <br /> Spillers and carried. <br /> City Clerk read a letter from the City Manager in regard to the new filter screens in <br /> the Community Park swimming pool. In his letter, Mr. Rolison stated that the <br /> estimated cost had been #324.45, however, when the job was commenced it was found <br /> that the repairs needed were much more extensive than appeared at first. The <br /> final cost was 4622.16. Since only 4324.45 was provided for this work, it was his <br /> recommendation that 4297.71 be transferred from the unbudgeted reserve to provide <br /> a total of $622.16 to pay this obligation. <br /> Councilman Spillers moved approval of the recommendation and offered RESOLUTION <br /> 1939 TRANSFERRING X297.71 FROM THE UNBUDGETED RESERVE TO THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br /> and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried on roll call. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF MURPHY AND HASTINGS TO <br /> RESUBDIVIDE LOT 5, 2, 4 and 6 BLOCK 27, OAK KNOLL MANOR (2126 Oak Knoll Drive) INTO <br /> FOUR LOTS SUBJECT JO: <br /> 1. Provide an easement through lot facing Oak Knoll Drive for water and sewer. <br /> 2. Construct a water and sewer line to serve lots from Oak Knoll Drive and <br /> Build to approval of City Engineer <br /> Councilman Spillers moved approval of the Planning Commission's recommendation and <br /> authorized the City Clerk to accept the deed, seconded by Councilman hoyer and <br /> carried. <br /> Councilman Granger stated that the Foster and Kleiser had asked the Planning Commission <br /> for permission to take their sign down so that they could enlarge it. That sign <br /> has now been replaced by three signs. Councilman Royer moved that the proper <br /> authorities be instructed to investigate the signs and report back next week, <br />
