Councilman Granger stated that at the previous meeting certain steps were taken to acquire the Bourquin property at the corner of Jefferson and Pennsylvania Avenues. At that time no authority was given to secure an appraisal. Councilman Granger then moved that the City Assessor make an appraisal as soon as possible subject to the City Attorney's opinion as to his qualification and bring back a report to the Council. Upon receipt of said appraisal Council can then decide if they which to proceed with the pruchase of the property based on the appraisal.figues and the price offered, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. Councilman Spillers, who recently returned from a trip through Texas, commented on t he method of building sidewalks on adobe which appeared to be very successful. City Engineer Jain
