ACCEPTANCE OF DES. Councilman Spillers moved approval of the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendation, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. Councilman Spillers moved <br /> Clerk be authorized to accept the deed, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL A. MILLER APPLICATION TO RESUBDIVIDE PORTION OF LOT <br /> 18 AND LOT 19, JOHNSON SUBDIVISION SUBJECT TO DEEDING 27' FOR STREET. AUTHORIZE <br /> ACCEPTANCE OF DEED. Councilman Ro.yer.moved._approval.of Planning Commission's recommen- <br /> dation subject.to conditions,. seconded by. Spi.11e.ra.. and. carried. Councilman <br /> Royer moved Clerk be.au.thorized._to accept. deed.,..seconded..b.y Councilman Britschgi and <br /> carried. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL J. J.SATHER AND OTHERS.. APPLICATION. TO REZONE LOTS <br /> 4, 5 AND 6, VALOTA PARK (1679 Valota_Road.). FROM R -1.TO R -2. Councilman Royer moved that <br /> this matter be held for, a public .hearing in. November 28th, seconded by Council- <br /> Spillers and carried. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL R. L. WALKER APPLICATION TO MOVE BUILDING FROM SANTA <br /> _CLARA TO SPRUCE STREET. APPROVAL E._MARIANINI TO .RESUBDIVIDE LOT Q, JOHNSON SUBDIVISION <br /> (254.Upland Road) SUBJECT TO NO BUILDING UNTIL SEWER AND 6" WATER LINE IS CONSTRUCTED. <br /> Councilman Royer..moved.approval _ of the *fanning_.Commission's_ recommendation, seconded <br /> by Councilman Spillers...This..was.followed.by discussion.when.Mr. Mariaini stated that <br /> he objected to any house being allowed to hook .up ,to..the:..wat.e.r line.. He stated that he <br /> had no obje the houses being...bui.lt,._but hewouldhold. .the. Council responsible if <br /> these houses _were. hooked to..the .2" water line. and. he_ was left without sufficient water. <br /> Water Superintendent Winter.stated.that it wouldn't make ,any.material difference with <br /> these two. homes connected..to..the line. Mr.. Mari.anini.'s home. is on top of the hill and <br /> he should not. be affected,b.y_..the,hookup.. Councilman.Granger suggested that the City <br /> measure the water in..the..2" line in front of Mr. Mariaini's house. Motion carried on <br /> roll call with Mayor Herkner voting No. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OFFICIAL PLAN LINES CANYON ROAD. Councilman Spillers <br /> moved that this matter be set for public hearing in two weeks, November 28th, seconded <br /> by Councilman_Britachgi and carried. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED DENAL A. C. LINDG EN APPLICATION TO RESUBDIVIDE LOT 8, BLOCK 9, <br /> WELLESLEY PARK (R -1, 501 Edgewood Road),INTO..TWO_ LOTS.. Councilman.Spillers moved approval <br /> of .the Planning ommiasion'.a rec.ommendati.on.to_ deny,. seconded. by. Councilman Britschgi. <br /> Mr. Harry Smith, speaking for Mr. Lindgren, .stat.ed_ .that.. here. was a petition with 24 <br /> signatures._ favoring .the .re.subdivision.. Mr. _ Lindgren . s.ta.ted- that he wanted to build two <br /> homes.because of the size of the lot and he did.no.t. want to build as large a home as <br /> would be required if this property were not subdivided. If the subdivision were allowed <br /> one lot would have 8700 square. feet and the other lot 7800 square feet. <br /> • After further_discussion,..Councilman Spillers withdrew his motion with the approval of <br /> the second. Councilman Granger then moved that this matter be set for a public hearing <br /> in three weeks, December 5th, seconded by Councilman Royer. Councilman Britschgi aaked <br /> that the Clerk be instructed to check the records wherein the Council denied subdivision <br /> of this same property. Motion carried. <br />
