255 <br /> WHEREAS, said special municipal bond election was <br /> held on Tuesday, February 8, 1955, in accordance with law and <br /> the proceedings of said Council, and the votes thereat <br /> received and canvassed, and the returns thereof ascertained, <br /> determined and declared in all respects as required by law, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the <br /> City of Redwood City as follows: <br /> 1. That the City Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br /> be and he is hereby instructed to enter this resolution on <br /> the minutes of this Council as a statement of the result of <br /> said election. <br /> 2. That the whole number of votes case in said City <br /> at said special municipal bond election was 6364 votes. <br /> That 10 ballots were spoiled and not counted. <br /> 3. That at said election the following measure for <br /> incurring bonded indebtedness was submitted to the electors of <br /> said City and that the number of votes given in said City for <br /> and against said measure (including absentee votes) was as <br /> follows: <br /> Total <br /> Total Total Ballots <br /> Vote Vote Spoiled and <br /> "Yes" "No" Not Counted <br /> MEASURE: Shall the City <br /> of Redwood City <br /> (Port Improve- incur a bonded <br /> ments) indebtedness in <br /> the principal <br /> amount $950,000 in accordance <br /> with the provisions of the <br /> ordinance calling the election <br /> at which this measure is <br /> submitted for the acquisition, <br /> construction and completion of <br /> the following municipal improve- <br /> ment, to wit: Improvements of the <br /> Port of Redwood City, comprising <br /> the development and extension of <br /> berths, wharves, transit sheds, <br /> cargo sheds, and related <br /> facilities; including buildings, <br /> sheds, platforms, wharves, <br /> piling, fill and paving, fire <br /> walls, automatic sprinkler system, <br /> and other fire protection <br /> facilities, lighting facilities, <br /> railroad tracks and switches, and <br /> other works, property or structures <br /> necessary or convenient for improve- <br /> ' ments of the Port of Redwood City? <br /> 3977 2377 10 <br /> L..
